Ruptured Gallbladder
If you are having the potential that gallstones might cause a ruptured gallbladder, there are many approaches that physicians can do to prevent this from happening.
A radiologist can place a drain in a gallbladder to prevent you from getting a ruptured gallbladder. This doesn’t even necessitate that you get general anesthesia, and it might allow the person to have some improvement in their physical condition, as well.
Sometimes even giving birth can cause a person’s gallbladder to rupture. When that has occurred, people say, “it’s the most intense pain I’ve ever had”. You would have to already have a pre-existing gallbladder problem, if this were to occur, though. You generally would have two to three gallbladder attacks before the birth.
Those who experience a ruptured gallbladder tend to be those who experience a rapid rise in blood pressure accompanied by a high fever; but that isn’t always the case.
Strange things can occur after the gallbladder ruptures such as high blood pressure that suddenly drops low, delirium, a bluish tint to the skin, a fever, the need to be given IV fluids, a rapid heart beat, and many other symptoms such as a potential of getting septicemia if it goes on too long without anybody figuring out the root cause.
The lungs might fill with fluid, the fever might go over 103, liquid will need to be replenished with IV solution, tons of fluid will need to be pumped out of the body, you might have to do breathing treatments three-times-per-day. Blood pressure might be 90/40.
You can easily have as many as 20 gallstones in you and not even know it. The number of gallstones that you have seems to have no correlation between whether you experience a ruptured gallbladder.
Since the gallbladder is a storage area for bile, those bile acids go directly into your body when the gallbladder ruptures. Realize that ruptured gallbladders are not at all common. However, if it does occur, vomiting, jaundice, and excruciating pain are all things that will happen. It will, of course, cause hospitalization and complications are what might cause life-long damage.
Generally, though, a ruptured gallbladder isn’t something that can be anticipated. If one is experiencing high blood pressure over a short period of time, that doesn’t necessarily cause a gallbladder to rupture. Generally the gallbladder already has a known pre-existing condition. Gallstones are the thing that are generally known about, and they tend not to cause problems as long as they are bigger than the tube. If they’re still small enough to fit inside the bile duct, they can cause pancreatitus, which is potentially fatal. However, if the gallstones are big enough that they can’t fit inside the bile duct, this isn’t a problem.
Diet can be used to help with those who have gallbladder problems; but an advanced diseased gallbladder will just have to be removed. Gallbladders can become gangrenous. this is a kind of anaerobic bacteria that eats away at the gallbladder. The bacteria will have to be fought back so it doesn’t attack the rest of the body. All-in-all, a ruptured gallbladder is a serious problem.
